Declining Balance Student Cards and Gift Cards
The Notre Dame Family has implemented a Declining Balance Card system
here at Notre Dame.
Each student is given a new student card with a magnetic strip on the
back at the start of each school year. This strip is encoded with the
student’s ID information. Each of these cards can be used to make
purchases in our Cafeteria and at ND Outfitters. All you have to do is
visit one of these locations or
you can call the Outfitters store between 10:30 and 1:30
daily at 905-788-9100 and add money using your credit card.
You can even add money
using PayPal's secure system
by filling out the form below and then clicking on the "Submit" button. It’s
that easy. All you need is the student’s card or “Ontario Education
Number” from the card. If you do not have a
PayPal account then PayPal can process a credit card payment. It is
all secure and safe.
The monetary information for each card is held in our very secure
computer systems not on the card itself. This way, if the card is
lost, the money is not. Each card will have the student’s picture on
it. This will ensure that only the student who owns the card can use
the card. Our system will even allow us to print out a complete
history of the transactions for each card. This will ensure that there
are no discrepancies in the balances.
This account will remain on the card for as long as the student is
enrolled at Notre Dame. Upon graduation or transfer from Notre Dame,
any remaining balance will be refunded upon request.
This is the same type of system that most, if not all, of the
universities use.
Using the same system we have also added Gift Cards that can be loaded
with any dollar value you would like.
Be sure that the money
you give your children for lunch is used at the school for a
nutritious lunch
instead of at the corner store for something else.
